Humoud Al-Utaibi

Humoud Al-Utaibi

Chairman

Humoud has a M.S. degree in Earth Science from University of Waterloo in Canada and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from KFUPM in 1997. Humoud has over 15 years of experience with Saudi Aramco working at Ras Tanura Refinery, Research & Development Center, and Environmental Protection Department (EPD). Currently, he is the supervisor of Land & Groundwater Protection Unit in EPD. In addition, he is the leader of the Environmental Technology Focus Team and represents Saudi Aramco in Several Committees pertaining to environmental protection such as IPIECA. Humoud held ETMA Vice-Chairman Position from 2006 to 2008.

Nabil Hijazi

Nabil Hijazi

Director, External Relations

Mr. Hijazi is an Environmental Engineer with the Environmental Protection Department of Saudi Aramco. He has more than 30 years of experience in consulting, project management, and business development focused on the environmental and oil & gas sectors.  In previous employment, Nabil worked with the Alturki environmental consulting firm, AES International Consultants in the capacity of Business Development Director. Nabil has a Master of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, and has attended Executive MBA Programs at McGill University in Canada.

Dr. Nawaf Blaisi

Mr. Blaisi is an assistant professor in the Environmental Engineering Department at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and the Chairman of the department.  Dr. Blaisi has numbers of scientific Publications and great experience with solid waste management Related matters.

Dr. Khaled Asfahani

Dr. Khaled Asfahani

Director

Dr. Asfahani is an Environmental Scientist with Environmental Protection Department of Saudi Aramco. Previous joining Saudi Aramco, he worked as an executive intern with Miami-Dade County under Office of Sustainability (OOS) for one year.  He has been exposed to marine environment for over 17 years. Khaled earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine physics from King AbdulAziz University (KAAU) and a master degree in coastal zone management from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). Recently, he obtained a PhD degree in biophysical Oceanography from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

Abdullah Hassan Alsuhaibany

Abdullah Hassan Alsuhaibany

Director

Abdullah has a M.Sc. in Marine Environmental Protection, from University of North Wales, UK. He worked for Saudi Wildlife Authority (SWA) for 13 years as a Manager of the Jubail Marine Wildlife Sanctuary. He was also an ornithologist and used to be involved of seven birds research project every year. Then joined the Regional Organisation for Conservation of Environment of Rea Sea and Gulf of Aden (PERSGA) as Lead Specialist for Habitats and Biodiversity Component.  He joined Saudi Aramco in December 2014, as Environmental Scientist at the Environmental Protection Department. Abdullah has about 26 scientific publications, more than 80 presentations which delivered nationally and internationally, about 25 unpublished report and research paper, and more than 13 interviews on national and regional TVs canals and radio.

Dr. Ronald Loughland is an Australian Environmental Manager with over 25 years of International experience working with the development and implementation of sustainable outcomes for government and private corporations. Ronald has
10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, and is a certified Lead Environmental Auditor.  Ronald works towards reducing operational and project impacts on natural habitats
and biodiversity, and developing strategies to integrate
Sustainable development goals within corporate policies including Environmental Stewardship and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Gavin Tait

Gavin Tait

Treasurer

Gavin obtained a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management (2005) and continued to earn his Master of Science Degree in Environmental Ecology (2011). He has over sixteen years professional experience in the areas of Environmental, Safety and Project / Program Management (Construction, Oil & Gas and Telecoms industries) and holds a Lead Auditor Certification through IRCA – ISO 14001:2015. He has been working as an Environmental Professional in Saudi Arabia for over five (5) years and currently part of the Environmental Technology Support Group within Saudi Aramco’s Environmental Protection Dept. His current focus entails the Corporate EMS Program, Environmental Master Planning and ESG reporting requirements. He has served as ETMA board member (treasurer) and has lectured on Environmental Economics for Master’s students at KFUPM since 2016.
